Boudoir Photography

Boudoir photography involves creating romantic and intimate photos of yourself, most commonly wearing lingerie. Having these portraits made is a rising trend for today's brides. Thousands of brides give an album of these pictures to their fiance on their wedding day. It is also a popular gift for anniversaries, Valentine's Day, and even Christmas. Other reasons may be milestone birthdays, weight loss, other body improvement celebrations, or maybe a loved one is separated by miles due to military or other reasons.

My clients come to me, spends a hour or two laughing and having fun with boudoir photoshoots. The fine art magic I create on their images is astonishing. Everyone leaves with beautiful pictures. We never push you pass your comfort zone.

Ideas for intimate photos may include lingerie, girly things, high heels, and don't forget to bring your diva attitude. Steal one of his hats, a tie, or a shirt and give your groom, husband, or t hat special someone the gift they will never forget.

Jerry and Ebony Engagement (Louisville, KY)

When I first met with Jerry and Ebony I knew that they were going to be a fun couple to work with. Ebony came across my information on craigslist. After speaking with Jerry he told me that Ebony stays on craigslist. I know July 19, 2009 will be a great day for all of us. I captured their engagement pictures last month.

Platinum Band performing at Health Kentucky's Twist and Bid

This weekend I had a ball. I attended Health Kentucky's Twist and Bid Gala and Auction.
Health Kentucky was created to help low income uninsured Kentuckians obtain health care by providing free services and medicine. This was a beautiful venue for a good cause. The Seelbach Hotel Medallion Ballroom was blessed by a awesome performance by Platinum Band. They kept the dance floor full the entire time. Also Lieutenant Governor Daniel Mongiardo gave a speech. Everyone had a great time. I recommend Platinum Band for any function you may have. You may contact them at http://www.platinumband.net/

Questions to ask your photographer

The reason I am blogging on this subject is because a lot of so called professional photographers are not at all professional. I have listed a few questions you should ask a photographer.

1) How many times have you worked specifically as a wedding photographer?

2) Do you have a studio? Where is it located?

3) Have you handled events of my type and my size before?

4) Do you have examples of a complete wedding?

5) What do you normally wear to a wedding?

6) Do you have liability insurance?

7) Do you have backup equipment?

8) Have you ever been published in a photography journal or magazine?

9) What makes your photography different and better than anyone else's?

After these questions you need to ask yourself a few questions and be honest with yourself. Do I like this person? Do I get a good feeling from them? Do I like their work as a wedding photographer? Is it well focused? Is it well lit? Is it well framed? Looking at their books do I get a good feeling having them photograph my wedding? Also remember personality and appearance plays a part. Is this person well groomed? Is the chemistry there?

I take pride on being fun to work with. Look at my photos and you will see lots of smiles. I have numerous complete wedding samples available for you to view upon request. I normally wear black slacks and a white shirt. I may color coordinate with your wedding colors. Also if needed I can wear a black tuxedo for the occasion. i have had work published in several magazines and provide a written contract and guarantee of my work. I have backup equipment and my studio is located on 5910 Bardstown rd. Louisville, KY. I also have liability insurance which covers my general liability as a wedding photographer. I am indeed a professional photographer.

Be careful on choosing your wedding photographer? This is the most important day of your life. The last thing you need is for the photographer to drop the ball. This blog is not to single photographers out. It is to make sure people get the portraits they deserve.

Megan and Adam Bast's Wedding

Megan and Adam ran across my flyer at the Bridal Warehouse. They are a beautiful couple. The got married at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, October 4, 2008. Megan and Adam both have a great personality. My job was easy as I captured their most precious moments. Megan always smiled and Adam dances like the Godfather of soul. I had a wonderful time with Mr. and Mrs. Bast. I decided to post a few pictures from the bridal session, engagement session, and their wedding day.
